Overall Development of Ondo State, Traditional Institution Top Agenda – Iralepo
No fewer than one hundred and fifty (150) traditional rulers will arrive Isinkan in Akure south local government area of Ondo State today Wednesday for a special meeting (Pelupelu).
The traditional rulers under the aegis of 130 Krown Obas meet regularly to discuss state and national issues and take positions.
According to the itinerary of the Obas, the executive members of the traditional rulers will meet at Ayus Hotel, Ondo road, Isinkan at 5pm on Wednesday 19th April, 2023.
The main event will take place at Ita Owa at the palace of Iralepo in Isinkan on Thursday 20th April, 2023 by 11am.
“The meeting is critical to us, it’s a place where we meet minds and take decisions on vital issues affecting our communities, state and Nigeria at large.”
“We were 129 members before but with the implementation of Ajama reports on the recognition and upgrading of some traditional rulers in the state, the membership has increased to over one hundred and fifty (150).” An Oba said
In a statement by the Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin-Adimula Arulewolasi III, the Isinkan Monarch said all is set for a successful hosting of the traditional rulers.
He said this is the first time in history that Isinkan would be playing host to this array of Obas.
“For us in Isinkan, it is a thing of joy to host the traditional rulers. This will afford us the opportunity to discuss how to join hands with government to move the state to the next level.”
“The meeting is a good one, knowing full well that traditional rulers are the closest to the people.”
“I enjoined all Isinkan residents to give the Obas a rousing welcome and display their usual “Omoluabi” character.”
Oba Olofin-Adimula wished the Obas fruitful deliberations and enjoined them to go on a sight seeing to centers of attractions within Isinkan Community.
