Uso Unity Forum North America Donates 10,000 Exercise Books to Schools in Uso

In a remarkable show of commitment to grassroots educational development, the Uso Unity Forum North America has donated 10,000 exercise books to pupils and students across primary and secondary schools in Uso, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The presentation ceremony, held at the Oloba’s Palace, Uso, brought together community leaders, clergy, teachers, and students. Beneficiaries include pupils of St Andrew’s Anglican Primary School, St James’ Anglican Primary School, St Peter’s C&S Primary School, C.A.C Primary School, L.A Primary School Oke-Odo, St James’ Primary School Ago-Asolo, as well as students of Uso Grammar School.

The Oloba of Uso, Oba Engr. Ademola Adebiyi Oyinbade Olanipekun III, PhD, expressed profound gratitude to the Forum, describing the gesture as a testament to the enduring value Uso indigenes in the diaspora place on education. He stressed that such initiatives would go a long way in easing the educational journey of young learners in the community.

Also speaking at the event, Ven. Dr Olatunde Abiodun commended the Forum for its consistent contributions, noting that education remains the bedrock of sustainable development. He prayed for divine protection for members of the Forum and for the continued progress of Uso indigenes both at home and abroad.

Principals, teachers, pupils, and students of the beneficiary schools also expressed heartfelt appreciation for the timely intervention.

The Uso Unity Forum North America, comprising indigenes residing in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, has made community development a tradition, with particular emphasis on educational empowerment as a tool for a brighter future.
