The chances of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu securing a second term received a significant boost at the weekend as the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Continuity Project inaugurated its local government and ward coordinators in Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The event drew top political leaders from the local government and across the state’s senatorial districts.
Among the dignitaries were the Director-General of the PBAT Continuity Project in Ondo State and former Chief of Staff/Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Pastor Femi Agagu; former Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Wale Akinterinwa; and members of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Nelson Akinsuroju and Hon. Tunji Fabiyi.
Also present were former Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr. (Mrs.) Bunmi Oshadahun; Deputy Director-General of PBAT in the Northern Senatorial District, Alhaji Elegberunibon; APC leader, Barr. Sola Ajisafe; and the Deputy Director-General for Ondo South and former OSOPADEC Board Member, Hon. Kole Akinbolarin, popularly known as Kole Gangan.
Performing the inauguration, Pastor Femi Agagu charged residents of Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo to intensify mobilisation efforts and propagate the PBAT Continuity message across the local government to ensure overwhelming support for President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Agagu said President Tinubu had demonstrated genuine commitment to national development through bold reforms and attention to all sectors of the economy. He stressed that the President deserves the continued support of Nigerians to consolidate ongoing intervention programmes designed to improve the welfare of the people.
In his remarks, Hon. Akinbolarin commended the developmental strides recorded under Tinubu’s administration, describing them as evident across the country.
He highlighted key decisions such as the removal of fuel subsidy, increased allocations to states, and renewed prospects for full local government autonomy as examples of the President’s resolve to reposition the nation.
According to him, the National Education Loan Scheme has restored hope in democratic governance by enabling children from poor backgrounds to study competitive courses.
Akinbolarin also listed the planned establishment of aviation colleges across the six geopolitical zones— including the South-West campus to be sited in Akure — as part of the administration’s outstanding achievements.
He added that stabilization efforts on the Dollar–Naira exchange rate and the establishment of Skills Acquisition Centres have contributed to reducing unemployment and enhancing wealth creation.
In his goodwill message, former Finance Commissioner Wale Akinterinwa assured that the necessary structures for the success of the project in the local government area had been fully established. He urged coordinators at the local government and ward levels to remain committed and steadfast as the political season approaches.
Accepting his new responsibility, the PBAT Coordinator for Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo, Hon. Rufus Oyewunmi, expressed gratitude for the moral and financial support from party leaders. He pledged that the PBAT Continuity Project in the area would deliver a landslide victory for President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The high point of the event was the formal inauguration of ward coordinators and the distribution of food items, cash gifts and educational materials to members.
