Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has told his main challenger in the October 10, 2010 governorship election in Ondo state and the PDP candidate, Mr Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, and an APC governorship aspirant, Nat Adojutelegan to stop wasting his time and resources in challenging his reelection.

Jegede had dragged Akeredolu to the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Akure, to challenge his reelection over alleged electoral irregularities and overvoting in some areas.

Adojutelegan on the other hand is challenging Akeredolu’s APC candidacy at a federal high Court in Abuja, saying the primary election that produced him was not done in line with the party’s constitution and the Electoral Act as amended.

Speaking at a youth forum in Akure, the governor said he was duly reelected by the people of the state.

He said his electoral victory was an act of God and nobody could reverse it.

Although the governor did not specifically mention Jegede and Adojutelegan’s names in his speech but said “all the people challenging my second term victory should stop wasting their time and resources in court. This (victory)is a God’s doing, no man can reverse it.”
