Royal Splendour as Osolo of Isolo Celebrates 7th Year of Reign and Princess’s Homecoming

The palace of Oba Dr. Edward Kolawole Adejoyegbe Adewole, Akesoogun Orisa Obaluaye Mosu, Osalade II, the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom in Akure South local government area of Ondo State, was a beehive of activity as dignitaries from all walks of life gathered to celebrate the 7th anniversary of his ascension to the ancestral throne.

The occasion was a dual celebration, as the monarch also formally received his daughter, Princess Felicia Adetoun Adediwura Adewole, into the palace, in line with the ancient traditions of Isolo Kingdom.

The colourful event drew a distinguished gathering, including royal fathers, political leaders, professionals, traders, artisans, and youths. 

It was marked by heartfelt tributes to Oba Osalade II, with many hailing the peace, unity, and remarkable economic and social development that Isolo has enjoyed under his reign.

In his royal address, Oba Adewole expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God for divine wisdom, unflinching support, and sound health since his enthronement. 

He extended special appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, MNI, for their leadership and support.

The Osolo also acknowledged the guidance of the Deji of Akure, whom he described as the royal father to all Obas in Akure South, pledging continued unity and collaboration.

He lauded the Isolo Council of Chiefs for their unwavering support, singling out High Chief Adetoyinbo Ibukun Ezekiel, the Elemo of Isolo, as a symbol of the collective dedication of the chiefs, both male and female.

Reaffirming his commitment to building a progressive and prosperous Isolo, the monarch expressed optimism that the state government, under the leadership of Governor Aiyedatiwa, would fulfill its promise to complete and inaugurate ongoing road and flyover projects in the community.

Among the notable traditional rulers in attendance were; His Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Oluwagbemiga Ojo, Olofin Adimula Arulewolasi II, the Iralepo of Isinkan, His Royal Majesty, the Alaaye of Aye in Ifedore LGA, His Royal Majesty, the Asakin of Abo Asakin in Akure North and His Royal Majesty, the Akapinsa of Ipinsa

The event featured members of the Isolo Council of Chiefs, market women, youth leaders, artisans, and other well-wishers, all joining in the celebration of a monarch whose reign has become a symbol of progress and peace.
