Political Unrest: House of Reps Hopeful, Ajanaku Says Faithfulness, Loyalty Key to Stability

A grassroots politician and House of Representatives hopeful, Engineer Jolaosho Ajanaku, has identified faithfulness, sincerity, and loyalty as critical tools for addressing growing political unrest in parts of Nigeria.

Ajanaku, while commenting on the political tensions currently unfolding in Rivers and Kano States, said leadership within Nigeria’s political system is built on long-established traditions that must be respected to sustain stability.

“In politics, we know our leaders, and they cut across party lines. They brought many of us up from nowhere, provided platforms, guided us, and showed us direction,” he said.

According to him, political mentees owe their leaders loyalty, sincerity, and faithfulness as a way of reciprocating the support and mentorship they received.

The politician, who is seeking to represent Akoko North-East and North-West Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other political leaders in Rivers State for their timely intervention in easing political tensions in the oil-rich state.

He attributed the ongoing wave of defections from opposition parties to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to what he described as the impact of good governance under President Tinubu’s administration.

While reaffirming his commitment to improving the lives of people in his constituency, the Irun-Akoko-born engineer-turned-politician praised Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for what he described as exemplary leadership.

Ajanaku noted that several communities across Ondo State are currently benefiting from extensive road construction and other infrastructural projects, which, he said, reflect purposeful governance.
