The former Chairman of Akure South local government and former commissioner for Education in Ondo State, Architecture Jide Adejuyigbe has been formally received by leadership of APC in ward 2 in Akure West LCDA.
Architecture Adejuyigbe, a political associate of former governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko along with others defected from the PDP to APC last month and saw the reason to touch base.
Architecture Adejuyigbe who came to his ward with array of supporters was received by the local government party chairman, Chief Johnson Akinmolayan and the Chairman Transition committee of Akure West LCDA, Hon. Sunday Adejuyigbe and other party leaders in ward 2.
The former commissioner said ward 2 is a special one with lots of good and dedicated party people.
He said the need for overall development of Akure and Ondo state at large propelled him to team up with APC.
Architect Adejuyigbe thanked everyone for welcoming them to the party, as he promised to do all in his capacity to support and continue with the orderliness of the party.
He said house to house campaign must start now to ensure the party’s victory at November 16 gubernatorial elections.
Akure South party chairman, Chief Akinmolayan Johnson applauded Hon Sunday Adejuyigbe for convening the meeting, as he appreciated the defectors for leaving the opposition PDP for the ruling APC.
He also announced the commencement of house to house campaign in the ward and Akure communities as a whole, urging APC ward 2 members to mobilize for the victory of the party
The convener, Hon Sunday Adejuyigbe Kekereowo appreciated all members, leaders and executives present as he urged them to double efforts on campaign.
The Akure West Transition Chairman, urged members to work assiduously for the success of Governor Aiyedatiwa at the poll.
Other dignitaties at the meeting include, Hon Dare Adeniyi (Akure West LCDA Vice Chairman), Special Assistant to the Governor on Digital Media, Hon. Kikelomo Isijola, Ajiki, St James Otokiti, Opedun, Ward 2 APC party chairman Comrade Boluwaji Samuel, ward 2 executives and members.
