Olori Ashley Afolasade Ogunwusi, has marked the 10th Coronation Anniversary of her husband, His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, with a deeply emotional tribute shared on her official Facebook page.
In the widely circulated message, the Queen reflected on the monarch’s decade on the throne, describing it as a period defined by “grace, wisdom, and divine strength.”
She recalled the prophecy of her late father, whom she credited with foreseeing both the Ooni’s rise to the throne and their divine union.
Olori Ashley expressed profound gratitude to Olodumare, saying the Ooni’s emergence fulfilled long-spoken words and affirmations about his destiny. “It had been spoken, prophesied and affirmed by many, including my late father, that you were destined to be king,” she wrote.
She praised the Ooni for leading with honor, compassion, and humility, noting that his steadfastness through challenges continues to earn admiration.
The Queen reaffirmed her unwavering loyalty and devotion, acknowledging that despite attempts to destabilize their marriage, “the enemies did not prevail.”
