A former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, has expressed optimism that he would win today’s primary of the Peoples Democratic Party with a comfortable margin.
Agboola is one of the seven aspirants seeking to emerge as the party’s flag bearer in the November governorship election.
A total of 627 delegates are to participate in the polls.
Agboola, who spoke in a chat with journalists Thursday morning, said he has gone round the 18 local government areas to campaign to PDP members on why he remained the best option to rout the APC out of power.
The former Deputy Governor said the November poll would be a walkover for the PDP if the delegates lived up to their promises to vote for him.
He stated that he possessed the political will to turn the state around for the citizens to be happy.
According to him, “You can see that the APC is already a divided house. The PDP needs a strong candidate like myself to secure victory.
“I am very optimistic of winning today’s primary. I have told the delegates my vision and mission and they know that I know how to take care of party members. They know I can make everybody happy.
“I have told them about my plans to develop infrastructure in the riverine communities. I assured them of plans to create jobs and make live meaningful for Ondo people.”
