Wife of the Oni of Ife, Olori Silekunola Naomi has promised a life-long commitment to the welfare of the baby given birth to by an Endsars protester, Kemisola Ogunnniyi, in the prison last week.
Olori Silekunola Naomi made the promise at the christening of the baby today at Vera Christian Assembly, Temiasese, Parish 2, Adegbola Akure, the Ondo state capital.
This is just as the chairman of Skye hospital, Dr Ikubese Thomas-Wilson promised to foot the bill for the child’s nursery to secondary school education, as well as his medical bills.
According to the duo, this became pertinent following the circumstances of the baby’s birth.
Meanwhile, Dr Ikubese Thomas-Wilson said he will continue to pay for the child’s education up till tertiary level, if he excels well at his studies.
Mother of the baby, Kemisola Ogunnniyi who could not hide her joy, thanked them for the gesture, saying this will go a long way in helping her child attain the best in life.
The carnival-like christening ceremony had in attendance, family members, friends, Human Rights Activists, Journalists, well wishers, among others.
The baby was christened Erinponmile, Erianu, Okikioluwa, Oluwajomiloju, Mororeda, Ayomiposi, Erindamilare, Samuel, Elijah, Oluwadarasimi, Oluwanifemi, Aduragbemi, Oluwapamilerin and Moraanugba.
