The State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.
The endorsement was announced during a meeting of party leaders held in Akure, the state capital, and coordinated by the State Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin.
According to the committee, the decision followed a comprehensive review of the policies and actions taken by the Tinubu administration to address economic challenges, stabilize the polity, and improve national security.
The motion for endorsement was moved by the Chairman of the State Central Senatorial District, Hon. Festus Aregbesola, and seconded by the APC Chairman in Ose Local Government, Chief Victor Tenabe.
The party further urged its members across the state to remain committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that such commitment was necessary for the state to deliver the highest percentage of votes for President Tinubu in the forthcoming election.
Recall that Ondo State recorded one of the highest voting percentages for the Tinubu/Shettima ticket during the 2023 general election.
The APC remains the dominant political party in Ondo State, with several opposition figures defecting to the ruling party in recent months. Many of the defectors reportedly attributed their decisions to the performance of President Tinubu and that of the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
