ADEMODI: ONDO APC LAMENTS LOSS OF A GLADIATOR
The death of Professor Bayonle Ademodi is a great loss to Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in general, and Ondo East Local Government Area in particular.
The late professor of Chemical Engineering was a pragmatic leader, a bridge builder, and a committed party man, who was ever ready to sacrifice so much for the cohesion, and development of the party.
Chairman of APC in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, described the death of Ademodi as grievous and painful, adding that the vacuum so created would be difficult to fill.
In a Statement signed by the party’s Spokesman, Alex Kalejaye, the State Chairman said the deceased was a jovial and consistent politician, who served the party with his talent and resources.
The departed academic and administrator was also deeply involved in the efforts to unite the Yoruba race through Afenifere, the social cultural body, where he was a leader. “He never looked back, once he believed in a course”, the party chieftain added.
The party prays God to grant the immediate family, Ondo Kingdom, Anglican Communion, the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and professional colleagues the fortitude to bear the loss.
AJIPE MOURN LATE ADEMODI
The convener of IBI GIGA AMBASSADORS Chief Alex Ajipe has described the death of the Hon. Commissioner for Regional Integration in Ondo state Prof. Bayonle Ademodi as a great loss to his family, the people of Ondo State and the country as a whole.
Ajipe in a statement signed by his media Aide, Mr. Solomon Adewoye on Sunday, said Ademodi’s shocking demise, after all efforts by medical professionals to stabilize him, when he took ill, has opened a deep sore in the hearts of millions of Nigerians, who looked up to him as a rallying point and a political stabilizer.
He said: “the passage of Prof. Ademodi hurt me. My heart was filled with grief when I was informed that I had lost another political icon in ONDO state”.
“The progressive has lost one of its own , he will be missed especially to the grassroots progressive family in ondo state. He was a good campaign partner in the just concluded governorship election and he and others delivered ondo East for APC“.
“Prof. Ademodi was more than a politician, he was a man of many parts, whose managerial skills and experience are required at this critical period in our national life particularly in Ondo state”.
“Professor Ademodi, a renowned chemical engineer, was a distinguished Nigerian, who bestrode the economic and political space of the country like a colossus. He made his mark in the corporate world before venturing into politics”.
While commiserating with his family, the people of Ondo East local government and Ondo State Government for the loss, Ajipe urged them to take solace in the fact that the late commissioner made an incredible impacts in his immediate community, Ondo State and Nigeria
He also urged them to take heart, saying ‘‘the death of loved ones is usually one of the most painful episodes in peoples’ lives but we must realize that death is inevitable. We all will die someday. Therefore we must gather enough strength to carry on.”
“It is with heavy heart that I commiserate with his beloved wife, the children and other family members he left behind. My heart and prayers are with you all at this period of your grief. May God comfort you.” Ajipe said.
