A widely circulated rumor, especially on the social media suggesting that the Governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, is sharing an “Egba” made soap has been declared as untrue.
It was rumoured that the Abeokuta soup is believed to be a diabolic one targeting at allegedly making people to love the governor if they bath with the soap.
But, in a Statement issued by his media handlers, the social media post was described as a falsehood.

RE-REJECT AKEREDOLU SOAP FROM ABEOKUTA
The widely circulated rumor, especially on the social media suggesting that the Governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, is sharing an “Egba” made soap is untrue.
As laughable as it sounds, there is need to alert the unsuspecting members of the public about the sinister motives of the elements behind the circulated write -up.
To set the record straight, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, did not and will not share soap either made in Akure or Egba. The write up is an imaginary allegation coined by bitter minds and failing hands that have no prospect and chance with the people.
Governor Akeredolu is a Christian and a Chancellor of the Anglican Communion. He doesn’t believe in voodoo. He seeks God’s face regularly and he doesn’t hide the fact that he serves a living God. More reasons his campaign rallies are usually opened with gospel and heart lifting praise songs.
The truth of the matter is that, during electioneering season like this, supporters of popular candidates and parties well structured , would spend personal resources to contribute to the electoral victory of their choice candidate and party.
Hon. Dele Ologun distributed Aketi bread in 2016. He’s doing it again now. That’s his own token of support for his candidate. The Governor has not even seen a loaf of the bread since the distribution started. It’s done by Dele Ologun and it’s not for any spiritual reason.
The soap we saw in circulation was also done by another enthusiastic supporter whose believe in the Aketi project is unwavering. Governor Akeredolu didn’t solicit or demand that a soap should be made on his name.These are things that are made by supporters. So, suggesting that Governor Akeredolu brought the soap from Egba in Abeokuta is preposterous and it is politics taken too far.
The claim that the soup is meant to transfer the star of whoever uses it and boost Governor Akeredolu’s fame is laughable. For the record, Governor Akeredolu is no longer looking for fame.

This latest circulation of rumor is yet another distraction unleashed with the aim of deceiving the unsuspecting public and diverting attention from imminent loss staring at those behind the rumor.
