The Olu Kajola of Isinkan in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, Kabiyesi Olumuyiwa Aguda, has paid a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, in Ile-Ife.
During the visit, which was facilitated by the Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, Olu Aguda conveyed the warm greetings of the Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Olofin-Adimula, to the Ooni.
The meeting, held at the Ooni’s palace in Ile-Ife, provided an opportunity for both monarchs to engage in fruitful discussions centered on the growth and development of the Isinkan Kingdom, Ondo State, the Yoruba nation, and Nigeria at large.
The deliberations reportedly focused on strengthening traditional institutions, promoting unity among Yoruba monarchs, and encouraging socio-economic advancement across communities.
The visit coincided with a significant event, the installation of the Ooni of Ife as the Grand Patron of Stand Up for Women Society, adding further prestige to the occasion.
The atmosphere was described as warm, dignified, and reflective of the deep cultural heritage of the Yoruba people.
Speaking after the engagement, Olu Kajola described the experience as beautiful, enriching, and historic.
He expressed admiration for the Ooni’s fatherly disposition, royal wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the progress of the Yoruba race.
He noted that the reception accorded him and his entourage underscored the unity and shared vision among traditional rulers in advancing peace, culture, and development.
Olu Aguda also appreciated the pivotal role played by the Oore of Otun Ekiti in facilitating the visit, describing it as a testament to the enduring bond among Yoruba royal fathers.
