The Ondo State Director-General and Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, has called on well-meaning Nigerians, particularly voters in Ondo State, to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commending what he described as the President’s purposeful leadership and commitment to laying a solid foundation for a better future for Nigerian youths.
Olabimtan, in a statement personally signed by him, also praised Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his leadership style and for finding him worthy of appointment as the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
According to the statement, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative was launched a few weeks ago, with Governor Aiyedatiwa serving as Chairman of the team in Ondo State, while local government, ward, and unit coordinators are expected to be inaugurated in phases.
“The Renewed Hope Ambassadors is not a campaign structure, as the embargo on political campaigns remains in force. Our mandate is to disseminate truthful information and properly orientate Nigerians on where we were, where we are, and where we are heading as a nation,” Olabimtan stated.
He explained that the RHA is a nationwide initiative designed to educate Nigerians on the Federal Government’s reforms and opportunities under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at improving public understanding of government policies and interventions.
Olabimtan noted that the project would strengthen party outreach and mobilisation by building strong connections with All Progressives Congress (APC) structures from the national level down to wards and polling units, while also supporting elected officials with credible information to engage their constituents effectively.
He added that the initiative would focus on public enlightenment through town hall meetings, market outreaches, roadshows, faith-based engagements, stakeholder forums, and neighbourhood dialogues, translating government policies into relatable information for citizens and combating misinformation.
“The project will serve as a two-way governance interface—delivering accurate information from government to the grassroots while also channeling structured feedback from communities to relevant authorities,” he said.
Commending President Tinubu’s performance, Olabimtan described him as a purposeful leader who inherited an economy in distress but has since initiated reforms that are yielding visible results.
“There have been significant improvements in the economy, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment. The administration has embarked on massive infrastructure development with over 400 ongoing road projects nationwide, including the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway passing through Ondo State. Investor confidence has returned, the stock market is booming, and the economy is being diversified through solid minerals,” he said.
He also highlighted improvements in passport issuance timelines, the student loan scheme which has enrolled over one million beneficiaries, improved fuel supply, and a gradual reduction in the cost of living, particularly food prices.
Olabimtan further aligned President Tinubu’s achievements with Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision of transforming Ondo State from a civil service–driven economy into an industrial hub, citing ongoing plans for a refinery, seaport, and increased attention to federal roads within the state.
He recalled that President Tinubu recorded 67.14 per cent of the total votes cast in Ondo State during the 2023 presidential election, noting that Governor Aiyedatiwa has charged the RHA to expand support for the President across the state.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa has consistently demonstrated unwavering support for President Tinubu and has encouraged the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to take the message of good governance to every corner of Ondo State,” Olabimtan said.
He expressed gratitude to the Governor for the confidence reposed in the RHA leadership and urged the people of Ondo State to support the administration’s efforts, describing the initiative as a collective call to sustain progress and avoid a return to what he termed “the era of economic shambles.”
