President of Nigeria Civil Service Union, NCSU, Comrade Oluwole Sunday Adeleye has decried the level of corruption and value decadence in all spheres of life in the country.
Comrade Adeleye spoke at a reception organised by the executives of Radio, Television, Theatre and Art Workers Union, RATTAWU at its Secretariat at Alagbaka in Akure, Ondo State.
The reception was in honour of Adeleye as the 7th National President of the Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU).
Adeleye who is equally the Chairman of Ondo State Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC thanked RATTAWU for the honour and promised to continually work with the union for the betterment of workers.
He said he would continue to strive towards facilitating welfare packages for workers and encouraged RATTAWU to be steadfast in its responsibilities.
Comrade Adeleye said that the only thing that can save Nigeria is prayers of the saints but wondered if there are still saints because of the level of corruption and value decadence in all spheres of life.
RATTAWU Chairman in Ondo State, Comrade Olorunfemi Kayode appreciated all comrades for their support and struggles in uplifting the union also emphasised the need for love and open communications between sister unions which is a tool to easily overcome challenges bedevilling Unions.
He congratulated Comrade Adeleye for the new feat and his leadership style and commitment towards the advancement of the Union.
The Chapter Chairman of the Nigeria Civil Service Union Comrade Olapade Ademola Adeniji appreciated the Ondo State RATTAWU Executives for their show of love, saying the gesture shows that the Unions are one.
He further reiterated the cooperation of other Unions as a means that would embolden them to break every barrier of disunity as well as divide and rule syndrome
