The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has recognised the Chairman of Ondo State Information Technology Agency, Mr Olumbe Akinkugbe with an award on youth development.
The Students led by the Financial Secretary, Mr Olaseinde Williams also expressed their gratitude to Mr. Olumbe for facilitating and supporting the recent fintech summit which they said was of immense benefit to students.
The leader of the delegation, Williams said “we are glad to have leaders like you who invest in young people and are committed to seeing them grow.
It is also why we have presented you with an award for your continuous service to youth development and the development of Ondo state.”
Receiving the award, Mr. Olumbe excitedly noted that “my own style of leadership is substance over style. I strongly believe in serving people first, rather than the performative gimmicks of several other politicians. That said, I’m proud of how far you all have come and we will continue to work together to see greater developments.”
The group then sang solidarity songs and assured Mr. Olumbe of their support in his bid to represent Ondo East and West on the Federal House of Representatives.
