Residents of Ifon in Ose local government area of Ondo State are now sleeping with one eye closed.
No thanks to the alledged incessant attacks on the ancient community by suspected herdsmen.
The recent attack has left the mother of youth leader in the community Mr Olufemi Babalola missing.
As at the time of reporting this news, whereabouts of the woman is still unknown. This has sent jittery down the spines of residents.
An eyewitness, Dauda Gbegudu said people are now leaving the community in droves.
“Very soon, Ifon community will become a ghost town. People are even afraid to visit the community now.” He added
The Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilola Odunlami confirmed the story and praised to trail the assailants.
It would be recalled that in January this year, the attackers struck in the community and killed Mr Jacob Abiodun Babalola and his son Mr. Sola Babalola.
Properties including farm belonging to Mr Olufemi Babalola were also razed by the assailants.
