The celebration drew an eclectic mix of media veterans, diplomats, and royalty, who gathered to honour a woman described as a pillar of quiet influence, grace, and unwavering support.
Wife of renowned journalist Sunday Ajongbolo, the celebrant received glowing tributes from guests who hailed her as a steady force behind her husband’s illustrious media career and a woman of silent but impactful contributions to society.
There was a strong sense of cultural pride as both the celebrant and her husband are natives of Oka Akoko.
Lending royal splendour to the occasion was the presence of the Olubaka of Oka Land, Oba Yusuf Adebori Adeleye, and his wife.
Distinguished guests included Colonel Roland Olawumi Omowa (Rtd.), former Nigerian Ambassador to the Central African Republic, and Dr. Olusegun V. Ategbole, a respected internist based in Dyersburg, Tennessee, USA.
