Idanre town was agog on Friday, September 25, 2020 as mammoth crowd of Social Democratic Party (SDP) supporters gathered in a carnival like manner to pass a vote of confidence on the leadership of the member representing Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye.
Motion for the vote of confidence was moved by Bankole Akinselure while the motion was loudly seconded by all the party members in attendance. While moving the motion of confidence, Akinselure described the leadership of Tajudeen Adefisoye as the best thing to have ever happened to the constituents of Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency.
Moreso, the carnival like meeting was also used as an opportunity by Adefisoye to consult with all the Wards and Units leaders of SDP in Idanre and Ifedore Local Government Areas on the choice of preferred governorship candidate to support during the October 10 election in Ondo State.
Meanwhile, the SDP supporters eventually resolved that were prepared and willing to deliver maximum votes for any governorship candidate that is preferred by Adefisoye. They however urged Adefisoye to make his decision on preferred choice of governorship candidate known to the SDP supporters across Ondo State before September 30.
While on his way to the event venue,
Adefisoye made a stop over at Idale market in Idanre for inspection of the market’s toilet facility. After listening to the complaints of the market women, he made a cash donation of N1 million for immediate provision of water and repair of the toilet. The federal lawmaker also made a similar stop over at Ojota market in Idanre where he also made another cash donation of N1 million for immediate repair and provision of water in the market’s toilet facility.
Speaking during the consultative meeting, Adefisoye assured that the winner of Ondo State governorship election on October 10 would eventually be decided by the input of SDP supporters. The Deputy Chairman of House Committee on Army also gave a hint on unprecedentedly massive empowerment programme that will hold in December, 2020.
“Let me use this opportunity to assure all SDP supporters and members that our empowerment programme that is scheduled for December will be the very first of its kind in Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
“By the grace of God, the empowerment will be so massive that all our party members must go home with something very tangible. Plans have been concluded to distribute 50 exotic cars and more than 100 motorcycles amongst other valuable items during the empowerment programme’, Adefisoye assured.
