Ahead of this saturday’s poll, the people of Akokoland have been challenged to be part of the success story and victory of Aketi/Aiyedatiwa ticket at the October 10 2020 governorship election in Ondo state.
The call was made by an Ogbagi Community leader, Pastor Ola Amuda at a recent meeting at Ogbagi Akoko.
He noted that Aketi’s Government has blazed the trail in road construction, providing enabling for the establishment of industries, renovation of dilapidated schools, employment into educational and health institutions among others.
While agreeing that there are a lot still to be done in the state, he encouraged Akoko people to give their support to the Governor at the poll to allow the good works to continue and be very prominent in Akoko Communities.
Oladare Amuda who is a Member of the Civil Service Sub-Committee of the Aketi/ Ayedatiwa Canpaign Organization was very emphatic that spirited individuals should also join hands with the Government and make their contributions to the society especially the rich by ploughing back to the society that brought them up.
This according to him “is becoming apparent because there is no government however affluence it has become that can successfully provide for all the needs of his people”
He encouraged Akoko People to see their votes as seeds of good things to come under Aketi/Aiyedatiwa Government. “For whatever a man sows, he shall reap. If we sow bountifully, we shall reap bountifully and if we sow sparingly, we shall reap sparingly says the Holy Book” .
Furthermore, he pleaded with Akoko people being aggrarian society and noted for hardwork, to put in a little sacrifice on October 10 2020 , by staying at home to cast their votes for Aketi/Ayedatiwa before going to their farms or returning to their normal businesses, “This is because individuals’ votes will be very significant in this coming election”
Finally, he commended the contributions in terms of mobilisation and various supports given by Chief Olusola Oke (SAN) for the re-election of the Goverrnor, noting that by this singular act Chief Olusola Oke has given a good account of himself as a highly placed political leader in Ondo State.
