Top government officials, traditional rulers, and community leaders are set to converge on Akure on Monday, 22nd December 2025, for the official unveiling of Impact Foodie and Lounge, the city’s newest upscale restaurant and relaxation destination.
The event, scheduled to start promptly at 2:00 p.m. at the Plaza Area beside Agape Church, Akure, promises a blend of culture, cuisine, and entertainment.
The ceremony will be chaired by Prince Biyi Poroye, Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), while Hon. (Dr.) Gbenga Fasua, Chairman of Akure South Local Government, will serve as Special Guest of Honour.
Adding royal colour to the event is His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barrister) Oluwagbemiga Olofin-Adimula, the Iralepo of Isinkan Kingdom, alongside other prominent dignitaries from across the state.
According to the Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Kikelomo Isijola, a seasoned food entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience in catering and hospitality, the lounge was conceived to preserve indigenous flavours while embracing modern culinary standards.
“Impact Foodie and Lounge is more than a restaurant; it is a celebration of our food heritage,” Isijola said.
“We aim to present traditional meals in healthier, tastier, and more refined ways, offering guests an experience that blends culture, comfort, and sophistication.”
Guests at the unveiling will be treated to the restaurant’s signature pupuru with richly prepared black soup, alongside native rice and other traditional delicacies, all prepared under strict hygiene standards.
The lounge will also feature premium drinks, cocktails, and a serene environment ideal for family outings, business meetings, or evening relaxation.
Activities lined up for the grand unveiling include a formal ribbon-cutting, guided tours of the facility, tasting sessions, and live entertainment, giving attendees a firsthand experience of the restaurant’s refined ambience and culinary offerings.
With its strategic location, focus on indigenous cuisine, and modern lounge experience, Impact Foodie and Lounge is poised to become a cultural and culinary landmark in Akure, especially as the festive season approaches.
