JUST IN: President Tinubu Departs for France on Working Visit

Abuja, April 2, 2025 – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Nigeria for Paris, France, on a short working visit.
According to a statement by Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the visit will allow the President to assess his administration’s midterm performance, review key milestones, and strategize for the second half of his tenure.
Tinubu is expected to evaluate the progress of ongoing reforms and refine plans to accelerate national development priorities. His administration has made notable economic strides, with the Central Bank of Nigeria reporting a significant increase in net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion—up from $3.99 billion in 2023.
Despite his absence, the President will remain actively engaged in governance and oversight of national affairs. He is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.
