The Iralepo of Isinkan, His Royal Majesty, Oba Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin-Adimula, has installed the Divisional Police Officer of Oke Aro, CSP Fabiyi Oluwole, as the Atúnwàsẹ̀ of Isinkan, alongside his wife, Mrs. Monisola Fabiyi, who was installed as the Yèyé Atúnwàsẹ̀ of Isinkan.
The installation was a major highlight of activities marking the maiden Ajọdun Oríkadùn Ọba, a cultural festival instituted to celebrate the heritage, unity, and development of the Isinkan Kingdom.
Earlier in the day, an interdenominational thanksgiving service held at the Iralepo’s Palace in Ita-Owa, Isinkan, set the tone for the celebrations, with prayers offered for the monarch, the kingdom, and the success of the festival.
Clerics emphasized peace, unity, and the importance of cooperation between traditional institutions and modern authorities.
As the ceremony unfolded, the palace came alive with traditional drumming, chants, and cultural performances, creating a colourful and dignified atmosphere befitting the historic occasion.
Chiefs adorned in rich traditional attire paid homage to the monarch, while women groups, youths, and residents gathered in large numbers to witness the event.
Adding prestige to the ceremony was the presence of top police officers from across Nigeria, whose attendance underscored the growing partnership between security agencies and traditional institutions.
The strong security and professional presence further highlighted the importance of community policing in sustaining peace and order within Isinkan and its environs.
Beyond the cultural and ceremonial aspects, the event also had a humanitarian dimension, as bags of rice were distributed to vulnerable women in Isinkan.
The gesture was part of efforts to support the less privileged and reinforce the values of compassion and communal care that the Ajọdun Oríkadùn Ọba seeks to promote.
Speaking at the installation, the Iralepo of Isinkan described the conferment of the Atunwase title as a recognition of service, integrity, and commitment to community safety.
He charged the newly installed chief to continue to promote peace and unity, while encouraging the Yèyé Atúnwàsẹ̀ to play an active role in social welfare initiatives within the kingdom.
In his response, CSP Fabiyi Oluwole expressed gratitude to the monarch and the people of Isinkan for the honour, describing it as a call to greater responsibility.
He pledged continued dedication to security and stronger collaboration with traditional institutions for the overall development of the community.
The ceremony attracted traditional rulers, senior security officers, community leaders, and residents, adding colour, culture, and compassion to the maiden Ajọdun Oríkadùn Ọba celebration, which continues with other traditional and cultural activities across Isinkan.
