Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), dismissing rumours of a planned defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) or any other political party.

The governor made the declaration on Wednesday night during a strategic closed-door meeting with PDP leaders, elders, and top federal and state officials, held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House.

The meeting was attended by key party stakeholders, including former Governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who joined virtually.

Also present was Prof. Wale Oladipo, Chairman of the Imole Movement, who described the PDP as a true home for all well-meaning lovers of Osun State.

Senator Oluwole Alabi, the PDP’s 1999 governorship candidate and a life member of the party’s Board of Trustees, along with former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yusuf, described the PDP as a platform of progress and empowerment.

Akanni Olohunwa, a PDP member of the House of Representatives, praised the positive transformation taking place under Governor Adeleke’s leadership and expressed confidence in the party’s readiness for any future electoral contest.
