An APC Chieftain and former chairman of the Alliance for Democracy AD in Ondo State, Chief Makinde Oguntona has died at the age of 89.
He died Tuesday morning during a brief illness.
In a message to announce his death, the Ondo State commissioner for youth and sports development, Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye said his demise was a rude shock.
“I wish to announce the death of an elder statesman, community leader, former state chairman Alliance for Democracy, former executive chairman Housing corporation, former managing Director Ile – Oluji cocoa industry, Chief Makinde Oguntona.”
Chief Oguntona was a polician, an erudite scholar and fearless writer. He was a member of the APC elders forum in Ondo State and Baba Ijo Anglican church Oba Ile, his hometown.”
“Baba died this morning after a brief illness he was 89 this year June. Rest in peace.” The Commissioner said.
