Indigenes of Isinkan in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State under the aegis of “Sons and Daughters of Isinkan in the Diaspora” have hailed the judgement of Akure High Court validating the ancient stool of the Iralepo as a duly recognised independent traditional Chieftaincy in the state and that the current Iralepo’s selection followed due process.
The judgement dismissed a suit brought by the Deji of Akure Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo against Oba Oluwagbemiga Adimula’s status and his enthronement as the 49th Oba of Isinkan.
The Isinkan Indigenes across the world said the victory has further attested to the fact that Isinkan, being a separate community from Akure, her tradition and culture must be respected and preserved.
In a statement signed by the Coordinator, Olaoluwa Ajayi, the Isinkan Indigenes commended the eminent leaders who stood on the side of justice, especially the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, his Deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, members of the State Executive Council, the Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Omoniyi, his Deputy, and Secretary, Hon. Gbenga Fasua, among others.
The Isinkans in the Diaspora applauded Oba Oluwagbenga Adimula Arulewolasi III, Kingmakers and the Omowas for their unwavering support for the course of the community.
While noting that the Isinkan people would not allow their culture, tradition and heritage to be tampered with by anyone, under any guise, they promised to mobilise resources and influence rapid development to Isinkan and Akure South local Government area.
They canvassed more support for the Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Adimula and the Isinkan community.
