Isinkan Monarch, Oba Olofin-Adimula Receives Radio Nigeria Team, Harps on Role of Media Industry

The Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin-Adimula, Arulewolasi III has urged Media Practitioners to use the instrumentality of the profession to correct societal ills bedeviling Nigeria.

The Monarch gave the charge while receiving top management staff of the Radio Nigeria, Positive 102.5FM at his palace in Isinkan in Akure south local government area of Ondo State.

The team came on a congratulatory visit to Oba Olofin-Adimula over the presentation of Instrument of Appointment and Staff of office to him by the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN.

The Iralepo who said power of the media can not be under estimated urged the media to rise up to the security challenge confronting the nation through unbiased reportage.

While saying Positive FM has displayed unparalleled professionalism in the discharge of its constitutional duty called on Journalists in Nigeria to always be objective in their reportage and do more of fact checking.

“It is an understatement to say the media is powerful. You need to deploy the power to correct societal ills especially exposing those behind the insecurity starring us in the face. We need collaborative efforts to combat the current menace.” Iralepo said

Oba Olofin-Adimula enjoined the broadcast organization to reflect the name of Isinkan in its station identities and signposts saying the media house is situated on Isinkan land and the community should be given that honour.

He promised to provide a large expanse of land for Radio Nigeria Positive FM to build an estate for its Workers within the community.

Iralepo called for a synergy between the palace and the media in ensuring accelerated development of Isinkan and the state capital.

The General Manager of Positive FM, Mrs Olubunmi Olalere congratulated the Monarch on the presentation of Staff of Office to him saying the feat is well deserved.

She promised that the organization would continue to uphold professionalism for the betterment of society.

While thanking the Monarch for the land provided for the station’s estate project, Mrs Olalere assured to look into his request.
