IRALEPO MONARCHY: Market Women Thank Gov Akeredolu for Recognition, Pledge Loyalty to Oba Olugbenga Ojo

Market women have trooped to the palace of Iralepo of Isinkan in Akure south local government area of Ondo State to identify and congratulate the Monarch, Oba Olugbenga Ojo Adimula, Arulewolasi III over his recognition by the state government.

The Ondo State Executive Council on Thursday had issued a letter of appointment to Oba Olugbenga Ojo as the Monarch of Isinkan kingdom.

“I am pleased to inform you that the Ondo State Government through the state executive council has approved your appointment as the new Iralepo of Isinkan in Akure South Local Government Area of the State. The appointment is with effect from 21st June, 2022.” The letter read

On hearing the news, the market women led by Chief Mrs Temidayo Victoria Bolarinwa trooped to the palace of Iralepo on Saturday to identify with the monarch and express their joy over the development.

Mrs Bolarinwa said the news of the appointment by the state government is a sheering one saying they could not stomach it.

“When we heard the news this morning, we all spontaneously leaped for joy. Kabiyesi, we couldn’t hide our joy, the reason we came for this homage.

You have been so nice to us, you are a cerebral Oba who will no doubt project the image of Isinkan in good light.

We know you have the influence and contacts to promote trade and commerce in Isinkan, we urge you to expedite actions on this.” Mrs Bolarinwa said

She thanked the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and other members of the State Executive Council, Akure South Local Government Authority and those that were instrumental to the sheering news.

She pledged loyalty and support of traders in Isinkan to the monarch and promised to participate actively in the presentation of staff of office ceremony.

The Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Olugbenga Ojo thanked the market women for the visit saying the appointment is a victory for the entire Isinkan people and the rule of law.

He called on the market women to continue to maintain peace and ensure proper organization of the market.

Oba Ojo said he would strive to bring development to Isinkan and influence empowerment packages for them.
