…Marks First Coronation Anniversary in Grand style
The Iralepo of Isikan in Akure south local government area of Ondo State, Oba Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin Adimula (Arulewolasi III) has installed a former president of the customary court, Akure, Olumuyiwa Aguda as the first Olu of Kajola-Isinkan kingdom.
The new Olu of Kajola is the son of late chief justice of Botswana and former Chief Justice of then western Nigeria, Dr Akinola Aguda.
The installation was part of activities for the celebration of Oba Olofin Adimula’s first anniversary on the throne of his forebears.
The palace of Iralepo Isikan came alive as indigenes and well wishers of the town rolled out drums to celebrate the first anniversary of the ascension to the throne of Oba Oluwagbemiga Olofin Adimula.
Oba Olofin Adimula who was elected by kingmakers to ascend the throne of his forebears on 21st October 2021 and crowned on 4th November, 2021 appreciated the people, urging them to remain United for the development of the town.
He said development and growth of Isinkan top his priorities and called on all sons and daughters both at home and in the diaspora to join hands in achieving the goals.
The Isinkan Monarch said God is on the side of the kingdom and reiterated his commitment to protecting Isinkan land.
“We will ensure that we take over all our inheritance that had been hijacked by some people, we will do it, it is achievable by the grace of God.”
History was however made with the installation of Olumuyiwa Aguda, a former president of the customary court, Akure and consultant to world Bank as the first Olu of Kajola Isinkan
The new Olu of Kajola Chief Aguda who is the son of late Chief Justice of Bostwana and former chief justice of then western Nigeria Dr Akinola Aguda embraced the task of leading his community with a pledge to engender development.
The celebration which attracted traditional rulers from different communities including the Alayede of Ayede Ogbese, Oba Raphael Ajibola Oluyede, was also sandwiched with the presentation of cash to 20 students from the community to support their education
Also installed was Engineer Olusanya fatoki as chief Asuda of Isikan kingdom.
Those who graced the occasion included the , Alayede of Ogbese ,Oba Ajibola Oluyede , former President of Ondo state customary court of Appeal, Justice Folashade Aguda -Taiwo, Mr Adekunle Ajanaku and other eminent Nigerians.
Guests who graced the landmark celebration were later hosted at a reception where the optimism for the development of Isikan with the commitment of all was reechoed.
