The Iralepo of Isinkan in Akure South local government area of Ondo State, Oba Oluwagbenga Olofin Adimula Arulewolasi III has on Thursday hosted the Isinkan Muslim community to IFTAR in his palace to break the Ramadan fast.

The Oba prayed with the Muslims for the peace of Isikan and other parts of Nigeria. He reminded the Muslim congregation that the Isinkan land upon which they stood is traditionally a holy land dedicated to the Supreme Being according to the oral tradition of his ancestors.

Regarding the requests of the Muslims for a befitting Mosque for prayers and sermons, the traditional ruler endorsed their request and assured them that the Isinkan throne would give them all needed supports to ensure that they achieve their dream.

Kabiyesi reminded them that one of the oldest and earliest Mosques in the entire old Ondo province used to be beside the Oba’s palace in Isinkan.

The Monarch disclosed to the Muslim congregation that anyone that is genuinely serving God will get the support of the people of Isinkan.

He directed that the leadership of the Muslim Ummah should work with some of the Palace aides to search and identify appropriate locations.

The Oba also assured the congregation that he is equally working with other people from Isinkan to build a new maternity centre and hospital to cater for the people.

He suggested to the Muslims that they can make the new mosque unique. In his words “you can make the new mosque very unique by adding a Quranic and entrepreneurship training centre after due consultations”.

Oba Arulewolasi said his support is assured in demonstration of his love for Muslim faithfuls and to promote religious unity.

He called for peaceful coexistence and tolerance among various religious groups in the country.

In his lecture, Sheik Imam Abdulahi
Irewolede Asude described the gesture of support from the monarch as unprecedented in the history of Isinkan.

He said the Muslim community would reciprocate the gesture by praying fervently for him and the entire Isinkan Community.

The cleric admonished faithful to always uphold the tenet of Ramadan.
