Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba groups visit Ajipe, drum support for Akeredolu

AHEAD of the conduct of October 10 governorship poll in Ondo state, a socio-political group of Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo people under the aegis of Aketi Legacy Group has declared its support for the reelection of governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

The group, led by its chairman, Mr Olanrewaju Famudele on a visit to Chief Alex Ajipe, the chairman Civil society and support committee under the All Progressives Congress, APC, Campaign Council, said they had keenly followed the activities of the Akeredolu administration since inception in order to ascertain whether the governor would keep to the promises he made to the people of the state during his first term campaign.

He hinted that now that they have seen his achievement, every member of the group had been working assiduously across the length and breadth of the state to mobilise the electorate, most especially the non indigene to collect their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVCs), with a view to casting their votes for the APC during the governorship election.

Also speaking, Mr Obioma Michael who is the chairman of spare part sellers, Car street Akure, said the group has Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba non indigene leaving in Ondo state as members and they are fully in support of Akeredolu due to the peace they enjoyed in the state.

He also acknowledged the effort of chief Alex Ajipe in the state and APC in general therefore named him the grand patron of the group.

“As a socio-political group that is concerned about the welfare of our people especially the non-indigenes, we are ready to go out to serve, mobilize, canvass and ensure that a large sizeable number of non indigenes in the state collect their PVCs and vote for APC not only in the forthcoming governorship election but in all elections.

“This group is strictly for the reelection of governor Rotimi Akeredolu due to his loud able achievement in all sectors. So we gathered ourselves including hausa, Igbo and other tribes to make sure that Akeredolu win the election”

“We have seen his records in roads, schools, health sectors, industrial hub in Ore and many more. Even with the Peace we enjoyed in this state for almost four years now, Akeredolu deserves to be Re-elected so that we can enjoy more.

Responding, the chairman Civil society and support group committee under the All Progressives Congress, APC Campaign Council Chief Alex Ajipe thanks the group for the support and promised not to let them down.

Ajipe who is also the convener of IBI GIGA AMBASSADORS, a political group campaigning for Akeredolu re-election said if Ondo state people Re-elected Akeredolu for second term, more job will be created through the industrial hub in Ore.

He said over one thousand people have already engaged at Ondo Linyi industrial hub in Ore while over two thousand farmers also have been engaged by click connect networks for cassava production in the state. He however promised them that more of these goodies will come if Akeredolu is reelected.

He urge them to go back to their various communities and campaign more for APC so that they can enjoy more dividend of democracy for another four years.
