How AAUA graduate was assassinated at Akure popular Hotel

It was a black yuletide for his family and friends as a 40 Year old Alumnus of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), Babatunde Adeluka Olubasa has been shot dead at a popular hotel inside Ijapo Housing Estate in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
He was shot dead inside the hotel premises where he lodged on Saturday.
It was gathered that Babatunde was trailed to the hotel by three armed men after attending a function in Akure.
He was shot at the bar of the hotel where he relaxed to take a drink.
A source said the killing of Babatunde was a clear case of someone who had been targeted.
The source said after shooting him, they also descended on him with a small axe to completely snuff life out of him.
Spokesman of the state police command, Tee-Leo Ikoro, said it was a case of assassination.
Ikoro said the state Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami, has ordered full scale investigation into the killing.
Staffers of the Hotel at Ijapo area in Akure have fled for fear of being arrested after the murder of a businessman by suspected assassins.
