Aug 26, 2025

A grassroots politician from Ifedore Local Government Area, Samuel Àjàyí, has called on eligible voters in Ondo State to actively participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to INEC, a total of 295,856 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) are yet to be collected in the state, ahead of the commencement of a fresh CVR exercise.

The exercise officially began with online pre-registration on August 18, 2025, while physical, in-person registration commenced on August 25, 2025, across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State, including the state office in Alagbaka, Akure.

Mr. Àjàyí explained that the objective of the exercise is to provide opportunities for citizens who have just attained the age of 18 and other eligible individuals to register.

He encouraged residents to take advantage of the window to register, update their information, and collect their PVCs.

He stressed that the voter card remains the most powerful tool through which citizens can decide who governs them.
