A grassroots politician from Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State, Mr. Samuel Ajayi, has congratulated former Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
Mr. Ajayi, an indigene of Ijare, also felicitated the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo, on the conferment of the prestigious title of Asiwaju of Akure on Hon. Abegunde, who currently serves as Executive Director at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
In a statement, Mr. Ajayi described Hon. Abegunde, popularly known as “Abena,” as a role model and an inspiration to both aspiring and serving politicians.
He noted that, “Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde served as a two-term member of the House of Representatives, during which he delivered impactful representation. As Secretary to the Ondo State Government, he contributed significantly to human and societal development. Now, at the NDDC, we are confident he will further drive the commission’s vision for the Niger Delta region.”
Mr. Ajayi commended the Akure-born politician for justifying the confidence reposed in him over the years and prayed for continued strength and grace as he continues to serve the people.
