Exemplar Friends Club International Presents Scholarship Award to Students in Ondo

A non governmental organisation, Exemplar Friends Club International (EFCI) has awarded scholarship to indigent secondary school students across Ondo State
The 2024 edition of the educational support outreach of the organisation is the 6th of its kind which has impacted no fewer than 100 students since inception.
At the award presentation held at Oyemekun Grammar School Akure, President of EFCI Honorable Babajide Aderemi said the 2024 edition of the scholarship to students focuses on less privileged but smart kids who are doing exceptionally well in academics and personal achievements.
Honorable Aderemi said twelve students benefiting from the scholarship were given financial assistance towards the registration of NECO examination having received recommendations from school administrators

The President represented by EFCI Welfare Secretary, Mr Gbenga Obe, noted that
” Education is a key to any human development. In view of this, it is in our spirit as a club and organisation to continue to partner with relevant stakeholders in raising good citizens who will become great leaders of tomorrow through our education support outfit”

While handing over the cash support to the students, Honorable Akinremi charged the students to remain resolute in their pursuit for success.
The Beneficiaries who are in senior secondary school appreciated the gesture from the club.
Bolounduro Marculay of Oyemekun grammar school who lost his father some years ago expressed gratitude for the support
” I am so happy for what they have done in my life, if I should think of what happened to me, it’s a lot if memories, I thank God for them for assisting me in my NECO. They have given me the confidence to pass my exam and make it in life. I wish to reciprocate this kind of gesture to others someday as I aim to become a mechanical engineer ”
Another beneficiary, Ademola Blessing Jadesola of St Louis Girls Grammar School said the help is a motivation to read, pass and work harder
A teacher who accompanied one of the benefiting students to the programme Mrs Comfort Gbenga-Obaweya lauded EFCI for affecting their generation and making positive impact in the lives of students
She said” Some people will have money and they are not bothered, they spend their money on something else but for EFCI members to have this initiative to help the less privileged is commendable.
Some students are very brilliant but because of financial constraints they can’t go further and end up becoming something else. When we see associations like this we are always glad”
A member of EFCI Mr Olarenwaju Ibiloye who recounted the struggles of growing up in a hectic situation said the passion of the organisation is to put smiles on the faces of people faced with challenges.

Exemplar Friends Club International is an is currently 24-member strong organisation of likeminds committed to societal development and has conducted charitable projects such as Health Screening excersise programs, Financial donations for orphanage homes in Ondo state, Prison outreach donations among others.
