The Management of Klick Konnect Networks in conjunction with Ondo Liberation Forum has mobilised youths in the state to clean up the state capital and some major cities in the state after the #Endsars protests.
The MD/CEO of the company chief Alex Ajipe made this known to newsmen in Akure the state capital yesterday.
According to the industrialist, the company in conjunction with Ondo Liberation Forum will embark on cleaning the streets of Akure after the recent protests in some parts of the state, that led to burnt of tyres and other debris littering the streets.
Ajipe said “The program is aimed to return Akure back to its good look. we have mobilised our youths through Ondo Liberation Forum and by tomorrow, we will be out there sweeping and carting away debris especially burnt tyres and keeping the debris at strategic places to be evacuated later”
“The Company and the youths decided to clean up the rubbish to return Akure to its normal look and also to help residents of the city to leave the events of the last few days behind and move on with their lives”
“And because of this, we are going to provide five hundred thousand Naira cash to this youths and also 5000 litres of Ethanol for the cleaning and disinfection of the streets in Akure and other materials to make the job easier for them”.
Chief Ajipe however appeal to the youth in the state not to set bonfire again on the roads as it will have an adverse effect on the roads.
He reminds them of the need to stop destruction of lives and property in the name of protest.
He assured the youths of his unalloyed support in any area that will make them productive for themselves, families, Nigeria and world at large but should shunned violence and hooliganism that can dent the image of the country
“I am also a youth, so I will always give supports to our youths in any area that will take our country forward but will never support thuggery, carnage and destruction of properties,” Chief Ajipe said.
