Ekiti Governorship Leading Aspirant, Kayode Ojo Strategises Towards Picking APC Ticket

Governorship hopeful on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Engineer Kayode Ojo has commenced familiarisation tour of all the local government council areas in the State with a view to consolidating on the various support being received from the people of the State as well as party faithfuls.

The tour which commenced on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti the State capital took the aspirant and his entourage to strategic locations including Idemo where the team was received by both market women and party leaders in Ado Constituencies one and two.

It was an opportunity for the market women and Party leaders to publicly display high degree of love and commitment to the emergence of the Ikoro-Ekiti- born metallurgical engineer as the candidate of the APC in the June 18 election just as the leaders of the market women publicly offered prayers for his success while they also used the occasion to advise the aspirant on the expected steps and programmes when he eventually wins the governorship election.

Addressing the gatherings , Engineer Ojo who came third in the 2018 primary election in the State behind Dr. Kayode Fayemi and former Governor Segun Oni who has now defected to People’s Democratic Party said his experience in the political space of Ekiti State and Nigeria as well as the level of support being received would play critical roles in attracting victory both at the primary and the general elections.

Ojo who was conducted round by a leader of the party in the council area, Prince Niyi Adedipe assured that structures and processes have been put in place to ensure that the State as a civil service economy is transformed to an industrialized one with special focus on provision of jobs for the teeming youths and put empowerment opportunities in place to increase business activities across the State.

On the forthcoming Primary election of the party, Engineer Ojo emphasized that the Party leaders and faithful should remain steadfast in their quest to ensuring victory and appealed that they should be peaceful before, during and after the exercise.

Meanwhile, according to a scheduled programme released by the Kayode Ojo Campaign Organization and signed by the Director-General, Honourable Lanre Fayemi, the familiarisation tour would continue in other local government areas and will be rounded off at Ikoro-Ekiti, the country home of Engineer Kayode Ojo.
