Billionaire Businessman, philanthropist and Chairman of Ekimogun Day 2022, Dr Tola Awosika has announced a donation of 150 million naira for specific projects in Ondo city.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Prince Segun Adeṣemoye, Dr Awosika said “it is a way to show gratitude for being the youngest chairman of the Ekimogun Day since inception and to demonstrate his love for the people and his commitment to the development of the kingdom.
He further revealed that the fund will be used to purchase and distribute not less than 50 transformers to communities that are in dire need of electricity, upgrade the Ondo civic center to first class event center for the use of the people, purchase of medical supplies and upgrade of the Trauma center at the University of Medical Sciences in Ondo.
According to Dr Awosika “it is evident that the Ondo Civic Center needs rehabilitation and upgrade to make it more beautiful and befitting for the community. It has also been discovered that many communities have been in darkness for many years because the transformers serving the areas have either spoilt or stolen and my interest in the health sector will be served with the intervention in the Trauma center”
This intervention will be concentrated in these critical areas”.
Dr Tola Awosika appreciated the Osemawe and paramount ruler of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Dr. Victor Adesimbo kiladejo and the good people of Ondo kingdom for their support and contributions to the success of the Ekimogun Day 2022.
