Dr Tola Awosika has felicitated Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s democracy day celebration.
He saluted the courage and resilience of the Nigerian people in standing strong in the face of daunting challenges bedeviling the country and encouraged them to rekindle their faith in the ability of the country to surmount all challenges and hope in a brighter and more prosperous Nigeria.
He stressed that the June 12 as a democracy day symbolises the struggle and sacrifice of past leaders for the enthronement of participatory democracy and governance.
“We should draw valuable lessons from the failures of the past, work on the challenges of the present and focus on the prospects of a prosperous future. It is time to be United in faith and hope as a recipe in building the Nigeria of our collective dreams and aspirations, a Nigeria that will be globally respected and desirable.” He said.
Awosika called on Nigerians to join hands to rebuild the country and consider it a sacred duty to make Nigeria a Nation that is safe, secure and prosperous.
