As part of its corporate social responsibility to the society, the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service ODIRS has donated a block of Public toilets to the Ondo State Judiciary.
The Toilets which is built at the premises of Ondo State High court has 8 faces coupled with a conducive environment.
The agency also renovated the existing toilets in the premises with 6 faces.
Staff of the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service, top government functionaries, as well as members of the ondo state Judiciary were present at the commissioning of the block of 8 public toilet for the use of the Judiciary at the complex of the ondo state high court in Akure.
In his welcome address, the Chairman, Ondo State Internal Revenue Service, ODIRS, Mr Tolu Adegbie stated that the idea of the donation was borne out of the agency’s genuineness to impact community which are committed to revenue generation for the state.
Adegbie noted that the judiciary achieved the highest amount of revenue generation in the history of the Judiciary in the state hence the donation.
Commissioner for Physical Planning and Budget, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan said the project was also an effort to end open Defecation in the state, urging that the facility must be properly maintained.
In his remark, the Chief Judge of Ondo state, Justice Williams Akintoroye appreciated Governor Akeredolu and the ODIRS for the donation while assuring that the structure is valued and will be properly taken care of.
Justice Akintoroye advocated for more quality structure in the premises adding that the judiciary would also be steadfast in contributing to the revenue generation of the state.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu represented by Attorney General of the state Sir Charles Titiloye while noting that government has embarked on several legacy projects across the state commended the effort of the judiciary for the achievement in revenue generation.
The public toilets was then commissioned by the Chief Judge of Ondo state, Justice Williams Akintoroye for the use of the Judiciary Staff.
