The Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT), a foremost support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ondo State, has inaugurated its ward and local government executives in Ondo East and Ondo West Local Government Areas.
The twin inauguration ceremonies, held on Monday in Ondo City, were marked by colour, excitement, and massive turnout of party faithful, including leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), women and youth groups, and community stakeholders.

The lively events featured singing, drumming, and dancing that underscored GMT’s growing acceptance and visibility across the state.
Speaking at the occasion, the State Director-General of GMT, Hon. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, said the movement’s mission is to project the achievements of President Tinubu’s administration and consolidate grassroots support ahead of his second-term bid.

He noted that the inauguration of executives across the state had commenced in the Northern Senatorial District, with six local governments already covered before the ongoing exercise in the Central District.
Yusuf-Ogunleye commended the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his commitment and consistent support for groups working toward the President’s reelection.
“We know there are skirmishes here and there, but Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo has continued to identify with and empower support groups. He is contributing immensely to ensuring that President Tinubu is reelected,” he added.

He charged the new executives to embark on intensive grassroots sensitization and political education in their various communities.
Also speaking, the State Secretary of GMT, Hon. Rasheed Badmus, lauded the massive turnout and described President Tinubu as “the best option for Nigeria at this critical time.” He urged the new executives to lead aggressive grassroots mobilization efforts in their wards.
