Black New Year as Owo loses another eminent Son after Ogunbodede’s sudden death

Owo, an ancient town in Ondo state and home town of the incumbent governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is now in a mourning mood following the lost of two illustrious sons in one day.

Apart from Barrister Tosin Ogunbodede, the governor’s Chief of Protocols, who died in a fatal accident last night, another eminent son of Owo in the United States of America, Mr Wilson Sunday Akinmulero who died at the age of sixty.

The cause of his death is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, but his kinsman, Aare Joseph Adekolu confirmed the news on an Owo WhatsApp platform.

Adekolu said, “He is Mr Wilson Sunday Akinmulero (60). He was a strong man behind the establishment of WOCOA (World Council of Owo Association in USA) – an umbrella body of ALL Owo Clubs and Associations in USA.

“In fact, He (with men like Mr Olade, Mr Aladesuru & few others) started Owo/Ose Heritage Association in California. He was one of those who initiated the WOCOA MEDICAL MISSION to Owo (which takes place at oke mapo every 2 years. The last was in 2019).

“We will surely miss His Progressive Leadership qualities, his approach to solving problems for every member in California and his love for Owo. May His soul rest in peace.”
