The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared a two-week warning strike to press home its demands from the Federal Government.
ASUU President, Chris Piwuna, announced the industrial action during a press conference at the union’s headquarters in the University of Abuja.
Piwuna said the warning strike provides a window for the government to conclude ongoing negotiations with the union.
He directed members across universities in the country to withdraw their services effective midnight, accusing the government of insincerity in addressing the union’s long-standing demands.
