The Chairman of Akure West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Sunday Adejuyigbe, has commended the Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his unwavering commitment to infrastructural development across the state.

He particularly lauded the decision to transform the Akure-Idanre Road into a dual carriageway, describing it as a bold step toward enhancing connectivity and boosting economic activities within the state.

Speaking as a guest on a popular radio personality programme in Akure, Hon. Adejuyigbe praised the governor for what he termed a “clear departure from the past” in terms of infrastructure delivery and governance.

“The governor is not just building roads; he is building confidence in government,” Adejuyigbe said.

“The dualisation of the Akure-Idanre Road, which will be officially flagged off on Wednesday, 30th May 2025, marks a major milestone in the journey to modernize our road network and open up rural-urban linkages.”

According to the LCDA boss, Governor Aiyedatiwa’s interventions in the state capital, Akure, have significantly improved the quality of life for residents.

He highlighted the rehabilitation and construction of roads in previously neglected areas such as Odi-Olowo, Araromi, Gbangbalogun, and Oja-Osodi, noting that these projects have brought renewed hope to the people.

“Our people are beginning to see and feel the dividends of democracy under this administration.

Roads that were once impassable have now become sources of pride to the community,” he noted.

Hon. Adejuyigbe also applauded the state government’s efforts in addressing unemployment through the recruitment of young people into critical sectors such as education, healthcare, and public service.

He said these steps reflect a thoughtful and equitable distribution of the state’s resources.

“This administration has demonstrated that with proper planning and sincere leadership, the resources of the state can be used to uplift the lives of our people,” he said.

He urged the people of Ondo State to continue to support Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration and maintain peace, stressing that development can only thrive in a stable and united environment.

“Let us continue to keep the peace, support our leaders, and work together for the progress of our dear state,” he concluded.
