Akure South Local Govt Chair, Olaniyi to Constitute Chieftaincy Committee as Iralepo Visits him

The Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Olaniyi has said Chieftaincy Committee would soon be constituted in the Akure South Local Government area in line with the law to foster cordial relationships among the traditional rulers in the council and serve as a formal platform for all recognized royal fathers to be mobilized for the greater good of the council area.

Receiving the Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin-Adimula, (Arulewolasi III) in his office at the local government secretariat in Akure, the Council Chairman said the constitution of the committee would resolve most issues in the local government area.

This followed the request of the Iralepo for the constitution of the committee as a panacea for peace and as an antidote to some of the traditional crisis in the local government area.

Hon. Olaniyi who said the constitution of the committee is a way to go, thanked the Iralepo for the suggestion and maintained that there can not be development in a chaotic environment.

He also promised to reconstruct the traditional Oba Iralepo market located in front of Ita-Owa in the palace of the Iralepo.

The Chairman applauded Isinkan people for their peaceful disposition and urged them to keep it up.

Earlier, the Iralepo of Isinkan. Oba Olofin-Adimula had thanked the Chairman and members of his cabinet for standing with the truth during the processes leading to the presentation of staff of office to him by the Ondo State Government.

Oba Arulewolasi said he will continue to extend hands of fellowship to other Obas in the local government for the overall development of the Akure South Local Government.
