JUST IN: Akure Monarch, Deji in Another Land Dispute as Estate Developer, Medaville Alleges Disruption of FG Housing Project

The Chief Executive Officer of Medaville  Limited, Ademola Akin-Benson has accused the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo of disrupting the ongoing Building construction at Federal Housing Estate, Alagbaka.

Over times, the Igbatoro road axis of Akure has witnessed upsurge in the number of housing estates built by either the federal government or private developer.

But the construction of Medaville Estate has pitched the company against the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo over the ownership of a portion of the land which resulted to litigation.

According to a paper presented by the counsel to Medaville building construction, the court granted the company’s prayer to continue with the project while the case continues.

And now, the company through its Chief executive director, Ademola Akin-Benson has raised an alarm that the Deji has violated a subsisting court order by allegedly sponsoring thugs to disrupt activities on the site on daily basis.

He said, the Monarch who is also the chairman, council of Ova in Ondo State is demanding for some portion of the land which according to him does not fall within his jurisdiction

He said, two motorbikes, laptop, working tools among other items were carted away during the week when the people visited the site lamenting while they visit the site on a daily basis to forment trouble.

Counsel to the Company, Femi Emmanuel Emodamori while responding to what efforts the company has made since the inception of the case, showed evidences of carrying Police authority and the state government along among other letters to different concerned quarters.

Reacting, Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo who spoke through his press secretary Michael Adeyeye denied the allegation saying, the construction company is going beyond the alotted space and will not fold his arms and allow abnormality to take place in his community.

He claimed that there is a 3 hectres portion meant for a shrine situated at the area by the forefathers of the land which the federal government is aware of.

As at the time of filling this report some unarmed youths were sighted on the land who claimed they were sent by the traditional ruler.
