Akure Bye-Election: Iralepo of Isinkan, Receives Candidates, Calls for Peaceful Exercise

The Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Olofin ADIMULA (Arulewolasi III) Olusi Obarisha has enjoined the people of Akure North and South local government areas to conduct themselves peacefully during Saturday bye-election.


The traditional ruler gave the admonition while separately receiving candidates of the All Progressives Congress APC, Mayokun Lawson-Alade and that of the  Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olumuyiwa Adu at his palace in Isinkan.

He urged political gladiators in the election to play the game according to the rules.


While urging security operatives to be at their best by ensuring smooth and peaceful election before, during and after the election, the Monarch warned youths not to foment trouble.


He admonished electorate in the two local government areas to come out enmasse and vote for the candidate of their choice.


The Iralepo thereafter gave royal blessings to the two candidates who visited his palace with leaders of their political parties.

The bye-election comes up on the 26th of February, 2022.
