The Akapinsa of Ipinsa kingdom in Akure south local government area of Ondo State, Oba (Dr) Omoniyi Olufunmilayo JP, has reeled off activities marking his 60th birthday and 27th coronation anniversary.
The a week-long event will come up between Tuesday 3rd of May and climaxed on Saturday 7th of May, 2022.
In a message jointly signed by the Chairman planning committee, Chief Michael Ajibola Obadunjoye, (Sao of Ipinsa) and the Secretary, Omo’ba Kunle Ariyo, the activities will kick off on Tuesday with a special prayer at the palace of Akapinsa.
On Wednesday, there will be a sanitation exercise by the youths of the community and later in the day, the Monarch, Oba Olufunmilayo will present gifts to the less privileged in the community, especially the aged.
The Feyi Babes FC will be in a supremacy battle as they lock horns with the Ijare football team on Thursday at the playing field of Saint Augustine Catholic primary school, Ipinsa.
On Friday, Oba Olufunmilayo will lead the community to Ipinsa Mosque for a Jumat service.
The activities will climax on Saturday with a Church Service at the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Ibukun, Ipinsa and a reception at the playing field of Saint Augustine Catholic primary school, Ipinsa.
The statement adds that array of Dignitaries are expected to grace the occasion including, the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, his deputy, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Members of the state executive council, Federal and state Lawmakers and the Chairman of Akure south local government, Hon. Gbenga Omoniyi.
Others are; Traditional rulers across the country including the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo, a Nigerian business magnate, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, OON, among others.
“Turning 60 is a huge milestone for anyone. There are many things to be grateful for after living for six decades.
It’s always a celebration when someone crosses this magic number, so, we are rolling out the drums.” The statement said
