Aguda Patriarch: 51 Years After, Family Holds Commemorative Church Service in Isinkan

All roads lead to Isinkan in Akure West LCDA of Ondo State as Aguda families organise a church service in memory of their late grand father Pa Elijah Ojo Aguda, who passed on the 2nd of January, 1973.

The Thanksgiving service holds on Sunday, 14th of January, 2024 at St Thomas’ Anglican Church, Isinkan by 10am.

Dignitaries from all over the world are expected to grace the occasion.

Pa Elijah Ojo Aguda was about 85 years old when he passed on in 1973.

He was a very successful cocoa farmer who had many wives and 21 children.

The first child was Justice Akinola Aguda and the last born Funmi Falana SAN. Justice Dare Aguda was another of the children. Other children also did well in teaching and other professions.

He was the first Chairman of the Cocoa Cooperative society in Ondo province. He was also the first Baba Ijo of St Thomas’ Anglican Church, Isinkan.

He was the grandson of the then Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Amudipote. He founded the Kajola community as a farm settlement over a hundred years ago.

His grandson, Hon. Olumuyiwa Akintola Aguda was installed the first Olu of Kajola-Isinkan Community on the 4th of November, 2022.

Pa Elijah Ojo Aguda was offered the Iralepo of Isinkan Kingdom many years ago but he declined the position stating that he was already the Baba Ijo of St Thomas’ Church.
